If the noise is coming from the driver's door, your lock motor and rods need lubricating. Each door has a motor to lock/unlock the door, the driver's door gets the most work of course.

I would take off the door panel and spray everything with white lithium grease. You can tell what is moving by lifting/pushing the door lock button.
don't forget to take off the small plastic triangle close to the handle and spray in there also.

Give the motor shaft a generious dose, if you can get to it. Usually, that is not the problem.
