Previous posts are correct in that Volvo is supposed to cover the bulbs...but for how long is apparantly up to the dealer with some covering the bulbs only for the 12k/12 month adjustment period.....my dealer! After you remove the rubber cap, the problem is you need thin hands/fingers to do the job. I'am leary of removing the battery on that side...but on the other, there is a hose or two you can move out of the way! Two very important hints....to remove, you have to first unclamp and fold back the 2 wire clamps....you can gently pull off the bulb prong adapter and then pull the bulb out..OR you can pull the bulb and prong adapter out all together and then pull the bulb out! Clearance is so tight that you want to make sure you don't scrape the bulb against any object and crack or break it!! And don't touch w/fingers! When I replaced my ist bulb it took FOREVER to align back in the socket....BECAUSE it only goes in one way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!the flat portion of the bulbs metal base...is always on the top. It's not so bad after you've struggled with the first one...but if you have med-large hands...don't bother, Bill
