To buy, or not to buy? V70-XC70 2001

None of this is a lot of work for someone with mechanical aptitude. Your logic is faulty…The way you are adding up parts and labor, your cost will be zero for this car…They will actually owe you money. The fact is, EVERY used car will need parts and attention. There is a reason why owner is selling it. If they were problem and trouble free, they would be kept. One can get most parts over the internet. They are no more expensive than parts for domestic cars. Some problems may be annoying or cosmetic and one can live with them. I don’t mess with leaky CV boots. I wait until they go bad and than I replace the entire shaft with both joints. You can get this for around % 85. Why mess with rubber boots? Bad struts? So what? If it does not affect front end alignment, I wouldn’t care. Small oil leak? Most cars have them…I think the asking price is very fair…
