Hi,

I've got a similar problem (I don't know about the reverse light though). Sometimes not the first shift from 1st to 2nd but perhaps the next one after a mile or so of driving. Usually I'm getting the 1-2-2 code on A1(problems (bad wiring, bad solenoid) in solenoid S1 circuit) and the arrow up blinking+check engine light+limp home mode. When reseting the code, never happens during the same drive again.

Sometimes the car keeps revving to 3000 rpm and shifts to 3rd without any codes or lights. Really a mystery.

Replacing S1 is a major job taking the subframe partly down etc. I'd like to be 100% sure that replacing it would cure the problem (I have checked the wiring down to the transmission housing). Perhaps bad grounding of S1 or something.
