A few other thoughts...

By the sound of it, once you get the codes from the engine bay you may need information on ATF changing and/or PNP switch replacement. You can also find these on Bay 13.

Before you change the PNP switch you should try what is called a "ratchet clean" of the PNP which is done by moving the transmission selector back and forth all the way about 15-20 times to clean the contacts in the switch. Search the board for postings on ratchet cleaning process and info on the dirt that accumulates inside PNP switches. I would post it here but I am away from my home computer.
