I was also very displeased with the noise performance of the original Pirelli tires on my car, so when it came time to replace them, my concerns were noise, performance and price. My father (who owns an 850R) had just bought a set of Kumho Ecsta's for his car and was very happy with them. I subsequently investigated and bought a set myself. I have been happy with the noise and performance, and especially the price. You can even order them online from: www.tirerack.com and they will ship them to you or to the installer of your choice. This site also provides performance testing comparisons....
