Sudden increase of oil consuption S60 2001

- 180k kms now; at least once a week 150 km/day
- use full synthetic 0W/30 or 5W/30.

I had checked the carter ventilation by putting a latex handshoe over the oil fil openening: some air came (slowly) in the handshoe at 900 rpm.

To day I had the carter ventilation checked and cleaned by the dealer. A clamp around a tube was replaced. To night I repeated the test with the handshoe and indeed now it was sucking vacuum. And, indeed like you suggested the gasket at the oilfilter has been replaced

See if oil consumption is decreasing now.
