2005 V50 V50

While you could pull the fuse for the alarm, that will also keep you from driving it to work. The fault is probably in the alarm itself,

OR

Raise the hood and let it slam shut.

The small LED at the base of the windshield should blink every 2 seconds when the car is locked. Watch it the next time you lock the car. If it blinks rapidly for a few seconds, one of the sensors is not turned off, like the door, trunk, or hood. My favorite is the hood latch.
