Hi Virgil, What year is your 850R? I have a '96 turbo non R and there is an exception for this year. The monitors clear every time the '96 model year is shut off so this year's monitors will never be "ready". There is an EPA publication stating this for a host of vehicles. I probably have a copy of this saved on my desktop computer but I won't be near it for a few days. Try searching on net... I found it there.
