Rattle under dash V70-XC70 1998

Pop off the dash speaker grill and see if the magnet fell off the speaker. It can be re-glued.

Otherwise, it could be a dash mount on the firewall, which is an extensive removal/fix. To check for a 'loose' dash, just push the dash towards the windshield as you go over bumps. Volvo has a nice writeup on how to repair.
