Absolutely agree with Klauss.
If possible, try to measure the diameter of your existing axle at the transmission end and make sure that the replacement is the same or at least within a few thousandths.
I first learned that I should measure when I did an halfshaft replacement on my sister's Civic. Didn't realize how much smaller the diameter of the replacement shaft was. They looked the same to the eye and it fit up fine. She left for a 1500 mile trip right after the replacement and lost about 2/3 of her transmission oil during that trip because of the poor sealing of the new axle. Amazing that the gearbox didn't seize up - it's still going at 225K miles.
Bottom line, compare the diameters whether or not you decide to replace the seal. Me? With your original seal at 14 years, I'd probably replace it.
