sway bar links S70

Heard the clunk, looked at the link on the driver's side, looked like the mounting bolt was bent, so I ordered the part, which was straight and 334mm long in the picture (13"1/8). Upon closer examination, I found both links are bent in the middle and that the distance between mounting holes is about 2" shorter than that 13"1/8. Recently had the struts replaced, and I'm wondering a few things: Could this bend have happened or been put in intentionally when the struts were replaced, or are they supposed to be bent , or if I unhook both, will the sway bar pivot down so I can install both the new, longer, straight ones?
I have a long trip coming up Monday and would like to address this before then.
