I have a 2000 S80 and the oil change procedure is the same. Get the OEM or IPD oil filter wrench as it will make things easier. Also ,if you are going to do the changes yourself , then go to WWW.Fumotovalve.com and get a Fumoto valve. It's a brass permanent drain valve. You never have to worry about washers, etc. again. I've had mine on my last 2 Volvos. If I didn't have to take off the plastic pan under the S80 I could do the whole oil change without getting under the car.
Going to Mobil 1 is a good move.
