possibly i was not clear enough.
the idler pulley is not straight. The engine was replaced by the previous owner and I have been told that sometimes when they put in an engine they catch the pulley. Thus bending the bracket.
So I need to replace the idler pulley and bracket. I tried removing the pulley but the middle screw is too long and hits the fender.
I have been told that I need to raise the engine to remove, which seems to be a bit much.
Anyone replace a idler pulley and bracket on 98 s70 glt?
Thanks Madness
PS I order the bracket and pulley from Erie today
