Have you tried using the heater, the fan, and the defrost setting?

I drove for 35 years before I had a car with AC!

Two of my current cars have no AC.

Keep a clean towel handy - Get vent visors and keep your windows open 1/2" in the winter to allow the cold. dry air to remove moisture from your car.
