The IPD kit is easier than going to a fabric store and cutting out a new one.

As to the flopping dash, Volvospeed and Matthews have totorials on upper dash removal and anchor reinforcements. Save a whole day for this operation.

You might want to first check the two screws, one on each lower side of the dash by the fender. They do come loose, but I bet yours is worse than that.
