I'd hate to speculate especially considering that you've already got Volvo people involved in your area. I'd recommend leaving the car with them and have them drive it and duplicate it so that they can hopefully pinpoint the exact cause. That's what we do with older cars (especially older 700s) which occasionally have similar stalling or no start problems and those didn't even have self-diagnostics to help (no codes).
