Well, thebrake humming became more of a nuisance, so I took the car to my well trusted volvo dealer, Autoshow Volvo. Before even taking a test ride, I was informed of the cause - my blower motor. Apparently, when the blower motor begins to fail, the squirrel cage cocks slightly forward upon braking, causing the hum. I must admit, I was skeptical. On my way home, much as I tried, I could not duplicate the hum. The fix would have been something like 360 bones, if not for my VIP warranty. Once again, Volvo pulls through. I've heard some horror stories about some Volvo dealers across the country, but thankfully not here. Thanks to those who responded to my earlier posts. Hope to be of help in the future,
