Remote fob will not activate driver door

I saw your post yesterday. We are not at your beck and call, we don't get paid for our services, and if we don't know the exact answer to your question we just might wait until someone with knowledge about your problem has a solution.

The 1998 lock mechanism has plastic parts which can fail due to stress. I suggest one of the plastic pieces failed, and they cannot be replaced. Be thankful that you can still lock/unlock the car with your key.

A pick&pull would be your best bet at the moment for 2 reasons. The parts are cheap and it will give you insight as to how the door panel comes off. With practice, you can remove the panel without breaking the plastic catches.
