I was hit by a flying sunroof, from a used car carrier - not you.

Headliner does not need to come off. A violent jerk like that, I cannot imagine what parts you will need. So long as the cables are still there, stop by a junk yard for a new SR. 1998-2000 all fit. Just make sure the metal that is against the glass portion is not completely rusted.
