But, seriously, stop by a dealer and see if you have the current software updates. Flush the tranny with 3309 ATF, it will help to have new fluid and it is easy to do. In 03-05, Volvo changed the flow through the radiator, I think the output hose is still on top for 03 but not sure.

If the flush and programming doesn't cure things, stop by IPD's site and look at the Bn servo replacement they have. It might apply.
