The C70 convertable comes with a sub from Volvo so I believe that it's possible and relatively easy to buy and install the same sub and sub amp from Volvo (if you want that?) and install it in your coupe. A good Volvo parts guy should be able to get you the details on it (might require a phone call to parts support?) but I believe that's an option and that your car is pre-wired for it too.

On the other hand, you can always go to a place like Best Buy, Circuit city, etc and buy/install any amp and subwoofer you want but you'll then most likely have to find a location for the subs box vs the OEM setup where it's under the seat (out of sight).

I'm now upgrading the sound system in my old 745T and just replaced the amp and box for my 15" Kicker Comp. sub with a 425W sub amp (4X65W for the other speakers), SERIOUS bass!!! Shakes everything :).

You should see the volt guage dance too, hehe.
