Re: What is Ford smoking? 850 96T

I was thinking of getting the new x-type after a year or so, and dumping my s40. i was waiting for the s60, but needed the car now(at the time). It looks very appealing to me, and i am thinking that there will be and x-plan avail. to jag buyers, as it is avail. on volvo's as well. This should make for some very interesting prices on the new jag. The only thing i am apprehensive of is that it is mondeo based. I know american cars have made huge improvements, but i still don't buy them, and didnt plan on buying them - even though it is not techinically an american car. In a recent motor-trend mag. article, they said that all it shared where frame stampings. Very interesting indeed as a fully loaded awd x-type comes in at a notch above 40K, and im guessing that the awd s60 will be quite similar... but one also has to look at the people who buy the cars. All i know, is that owning a "Jaguar" is quite enticing...
