I'm curious because my windshield on my '86 745T with 200K miles is also very pitted from years of highway driving (lots of small stones/gravel apparently) and it'd be nice to have a new one for better visability but I didn't know that insurance co's might cover that. I still have full coverage on it too as the car's still in very good condition (practically restored/like new now).
What did you tell your agent to convince them to cover this without it being cracked? Did you have to pay a deductable amount, like $250?
