It's now saying "off" because you put the wrong code in 3Xs. To get the right code, you'll have to call your Volvo dealers parts dept with all the #s on the top of the unit plus model # and color of face (grey or black). To get it out of being locked up, leave the key in position 1 so that the radio is turned on (saying "off"), ignition off (dash lights off) for 2 hours, then it will say "code" again. If you put the code in and it doesn't work the first time, stop because you have the wrong code.
