All of the European cars had wipers until someone figured out that a simple spraying will do the same job even when below zero.

I agree. Especially when there is freezing rain and the wipers are glued to the headlights - then, when turned on the owner is presented with a costly problem. They do look cool... don't work for beans!

I am thinking about doing a delete on my 850 project car, but what to do with the hoses? Just fill the ends with hot glue?
