From what you all say, the EPA numbers are conservative. That makes sense and I'm happy to hear it.

I was wishing they sold the standard GLT AWD like they did in '98, just because I thought it would look better. But I bet Volvo cancelled that model because they could not call it a "light truck" and skirt the guzzler tax, as the EPA numbers did fall for whatever reason with the '01 models.

Anyway we're picking up a white XC tomorrow. Looks like a nice car - thanks for your info on this.
