Torque Steer? ALL

Hello everyone, took a S40 for a few days of driving. This one had 6,000 miles on it, a 2000 USA model. When you floor it going 20-70 it has very very poor handling. The front end darts everywhere randomly. Is this the torque steer I have heard of? Seems very unstable. Thanks for any coments.
