Tire Pressure System C70 1999

The TPM(monitoring)S is indeed part of the valve stem and most tire shops have new ones on the shelf, part of the new tire cost. The son should have been notified that one of his tires was low on pressure, there is a warning light for that if the TPMS is functioning. A 'blow out' will result in the TPMS message at the same time the son is trying to keep the car on the road.

Your 1999 does not have TPMS unless it is an aftermarket system.

The Canadians are lucky, as they can see the individual tire pressures on each wheel. The American TPMS only says one tire is low and it is up to the driver to figure out which one - a really dumb system.
