For some reason my car keeps stopping! I will just be driving down the road and it is like someone unplugs the engine. There is no stalling or warning; it just stops. Sometimes it will start right back up but usually I have to wait 5-10 minutes . I have stumped the mechanics. I took it in and they were convinced it was some type of sensor and they replaced it along with new spark plugs. It cost about $450. On the way home it stopped again. It stopped all over town. I took it back in and after checking the fuel pump, they found it needed to be replaced. They replaced it and the filter at a tune of about $550 and the next day it stopped all over town again. They put a fuel additive in it to get rid of water since they have no idea what else it could be. I have just under 200k on the car and have replace almost everything left there is to replace. Other than needing a new car, does any one know what the problem could be? The battery is fairly new and strong. When the car stops all the electrical stuff still works. I do have a short in my stereo...?
