Top Motor Mount 850 1996

What are the symptoms of top motor mount deterioration? Mine has numerous small cracks an the car goes pop or clunk on acceleration. I have just received the GAPA polyurethane motor mount advertised/sold on ebay. It is a large yellow donut of a thing with a nice bolt and sleeve. Not worth the money I payed, considering the Volvo part costs about $19.00 dollars. Is this easy to replace?
