The 2009 and other "new" cars have SRS builtin, they must be plugged in or your air bags and other safety features will be disabled. No, you cannot put 850 seats in your 2009.

As to just the rail, why bother? The 4 bolts should be the same, I have not looked or measured, it is the electrics that could be different. The seat heaters got upgraded from the 850 to S/V70, much nicer but different plugs and less prone to failure.
