I have 205/55 16 730s on my T5. They do have a slightly
harsher ride then the OEM Michelins (you will get a few more
bumps and rattles). They do handle very well: I've taken
a right turn, testing the limits, so fast I was thrown against
the door. Now I know the down-side of leather seating :)
One of the tires I had was bad. When placed on a Hunter DSP
9700 balancer (they call it a "Vibration COntrol System -- see
http://www.hunter.com/pub/product/product.htm) it showed there
was a problem with the tire (it would blance fine but this tool
can place a 700 lb load on the tire to simulate driving and
that showed the problem). But, the shop that did this test
for me (I had some high speed vibration which is why I took it
in) told me problems with Bridgestones are very rare.
At first, I did not like the 730s due to the harsher ride. Either
I got used to it or they softned up a bit since I am now very
happy with them.
