I had a well-known RX-7 tuner tell me that turbo timers weren't really necessary with newer liquid cooled turbos. He that if I had been on the freeway for a long time or if I had been driving hard to let it run for a mintute or two, otherwise it would be fine. I am assuming that the turbo shares engine coolant in Volvos, could be wrong.
