If you look at part #5, it will look just like what you have now, for $86 + $10 shipping.

The new style sender that FCP and others have will work.

You didn't mention what is the problem with your current unit. Does it not work at all? Is it inconsistant with what level is in the tank? Do you know that the sender can be cleaned out and tested with an 0hm meter, so long as you open it up carefully? The sender electrical connecction is closer to the fuel pump, so removing the cover over the pump is required, if I remember correctly.
