Can Speedometer/odometer be calibrated? 850 1996

My 1996 Volvo Platinum Limited Edition (44k miles) is off about 3.5 mph (the wrong way) and the odometer is off as well (about 5%). The tire size is stock, and there have been no modifications to anything which should matter to the speedometer/odometer.

Can this be calibrated in some useful way, or do I have to live with it?
