Yes, but did you see the conditions for that testing. They were beyond optimal, not to mention the different transmissions.
I've had track time with S70 T5 auto. After 10 runs with the torque loading method, the average 0-60 time was 6.9. The fastest was 6.7, the slowest 7.3. And this was on a day at about 24 degrees Celcius, 65% relative humidity, using professional timing equipment.
An 854T auto after 10 runs had an average 0-60 time of 7.0. The fastest time running 6.8, and a slowest of 7.2. If you read the fine print, the 0-60 time for the 854T was recorded with an auto tranny, while the newer S70T5 was recorded with a manual.
The S70T5 does produce a pinch more power then the 854T, but it also weighs a little more as well. So if you are looking for the fastest stock Volvo excluding the newer S80 and S60, you are looking at the 850R or the T5-R manual.
