ECC filter IS the pollen filter. It was a dealer installed option thru 97. All 98 and newer have one as standard equipment. ECC = electronic climate control. You may be talking about the ECU filter. 93 models had a cooling fan in the control unit housing with a duct to a small filter for fresh air. 94 and on the cooling duct was moved to the climate control housing, and the filter was deleted.
