Check engine lid up in the cluster panel... V70-XC70 2006

Hello

Yesterday, I did change both HID bulb in my V70 2006 AWD 2.5T. Evertything went well. Had to remove the airbox with the filter and mass airflow sensor and some other things I had to disconnect to work better in these area. After reconnecting/replacing everything correctly, I've started the car and all was fine. No check engine in the dash, both bulb working, etc.

Just after that, I've decided to wash the engine. I've covered the alternator with a plastic bag and started to shower the engine, gently, with only a light water spray to rince after cleaning engine top part with a rag. Did that and after, had the engine to run for almost half an hour to make sure everything dried up properly after spraying water. All was fine yesterday evening after the job was done. This morning, I've started the engine and whaaaa... check engine lid up on the dash. No alarm or event in the panel, nothing but the check engine light. Engine running smooth, no noise, no strange behaviors... We hit the road for almost 2 hours on the highway and still the check engine lid up. I've check all the connector I disconnect and reconnect while I did the work on the car the previous day but still the check engine light on...

I'm in Canada and will hit the road on sunday 4AM going to Florida. I don't know what to do, I don't have any code reader and my mecanic is on vacation. Maybe anyone here do have an idea of what have might have caused this check engine light on ?

Let me know, I'm in a great need of your advice on the next step.

Many thanks in advance

Bruno
