Hi Bud,

Maybe its the rear strut mount, I've got the Meyle in front of me that I got with a stray box of 850 parts that I got at a flea market from a former 850 owner that had his car totaled. I haven't run into problems with the rear yet but he said
that the rear strut mount failure makes a nasty racket.

What else is there back there besides the exhaust system that might make noises on bumps? Maybe the rear sway bar?

I went with Bilstein Touring, they have a great reputation, although the new CEO
might be looking to swell up his bonus and decide to outsource to Shanghai for
something that looks like a strut. Maybe the new ones will be made of Delrin, High-impact cardboard, and imitation rubber?
