I just chased down a similar noise in my daughter's 2001 Honda CR-V.
I thought it might be a wheel bearing, power steering pump, power steering belt, u-joint, or rear differential. Ended up being the front brakes. The edge of the front brake rotors were rusted. Chunks of rust that flaked off were getting wedged in there someplace and when the vehicle was turned right, the noise happened. It didn't happen all the time. But only happened when turning right, or steering right to change lanes or avoid potholes, etc. After installing new rotors and pads, the noise went away.
