So I replaced the flame trap holder today. One of the locking ears had broken off and it wasn't tight. All is tight now. Question is there was a lot of gunk in the larger hose coming from the engine and I know the flame will be gunked up shortly. I know it's a safety device to keep flame from getting somewhere but where? I can't imagine anytime when anything other than exhaust gas would flow into the intake....my oil trap is apparently jammed because when I pull the dipstick, vapour does come out...is It ok to leave the trap out? Thx
