Car slips while in park, forward or backwards S70 1998

You broke it??? The parking pawl is a pin that engages and keeps the car from rolling. The clicking is the pawl not completely engaging, which could be a function of the cable not going far enough or the tip of the pawl broke off. IIRC this is not repairable, I hope someone else can tell me otherwise.

In the meantime, adjust the parking brakes and pretend you have a clutch.
