Did that car sit for some months?
I had a Toyota that was a huge oil burner.
While I did a clutch job on it, I gave each cylinder a soak with Mystery oil.
maybe a two day soak, maybe a tsp. each hole.. That solved the ring problem.
You might try that since Mystery oil will help dislodge junk on the rings.
(That's Mystery oil, not something else!) It's worth a try. Try an overnight
soak and check compression again. I'd do all 5 holes while I was at it.
Before running, get a bunch of newspapers and spin the engine with
the starter to throw the oil out into the paper. I suppose the O2 sensors
wont like an oil bath.
