So far the mods have been like this . . . 850 1995

For the little tid bits I've already done here goes.

Synthetic Engine Oil: If you aren't already running atleast Mobil 1, preferably AMSOIL, you are doing your 850T a diservice. I picked up about 5.6hp running AMSOIL over Mobil 1 (both in the engine and in the tranny). And I have the engine oil analyzed every now and then by and it always comes out pristine (as iin after analysis and not just colour), which can't be said for other oils I've tried like Quaker State Ultra Premium and Castrol Syntec. Order in large quantities or through group buys and AMSOIL ends up being the same price as Mobil 1, if not cheaper.

K&N Drop In Filter: Save your money. This thing is WAY expensive and hp increases are negligible.

K&N Open Element Cone Style Filter: Big time increase in flow. Noticeable increase in throttle response as well as power throughout the rpm range. A little noisier though due to intake sounds. If you modify your exhaust and wastegate, you will also get a louder shhhh blow off valve sound. Not to mention cheaper then the drop in.

NGK Spark Plug Wires: Wow! I didn't think wires could make such a difference. Increased mileage, increased performance, and not too expensive.

Full Eexhaust: HUGE performance increase. Not cheap though. A complete stainless steel system from downpipe back will be around $1500 Canadian. But well worth the money especially if other mods are done, i.e. intake, ECU modifications. Sort of like building an engine. You gotta spend money first, just to have the potential for power.

Wastegate Adjustment: Free power, what more could anyone want? Less then an hour under the hood, decreased lag, increased power, and costs you about an hour of your time. Just don't go overboard and turn the thing until the ECU shuts the turbo off.

The stainless steel brake lines from SPG9 and the OMP Strut Tower Brace should be here in less then two weeks. Whatever SS brake lines you get, make sure they have a cover over them. If you don't, sand/dirt gets into the braids, and abrades the inner rubber tubing. NOT GOOD! So make sure the brake lines have a covering over the SS braids. As for the OMP STB, I like the absence of a second flex point, and I can't wait to try it out.

As for the GIAC/PES-Tuning, I've been trying to get in touch with them about a custom chip to make better use of the extra breathing I've put into the car.

I also want to get a more accurate boost gauge. I'm looking into getting the pod from iPd and painting it to the beige of my interior. From there, I may either go with GReddy, HKS or SPA Technique, I really haven't tought about it much yet. I like the look of digital, but the actual component doesn't look as well built as some of the GReddy and HKS units I've seen. The use of plastic instead of metal in certain places for example.

That will be it for this season. For next season, I'll be sure to fill the board in on Power Slot Rotors from iPd, AEM brake pads (when my oe pads and rotors go), iPd Lowering Springs and either Koni Adjustable or Bilstein shocks and struts with a camber adjustment plate from carparts.com. Also, I'll try to get the iPd anti-sway/roll bars as well. And depending on when my Toyo T1-S's wear out, I'm looking to get probably the Kuhmo Ecsta Supra 712 in 205/45/17 for my 17" rims sitting in my basement that I just got recently.

At the end these mods probably two years from now, I'll stop. After that, I'll probably do some more work on sound insulation and stopping vibrations, and upgrading the sound system even more than what I already have.
