Thx b.b. and klause...that dura last battery was 875 amps...don't make it anymore. I did the glove test warm. I cleared the codes last weekend after driving a week with rough idle. I get no ect, no egr, and low egr flow now. I found one vacuum line on the tree split and replaced it and the vacuum connector on the egr valve itself (the one with a small spring clamp on it). No change. I pulled the 6 year old Bosch platinum x2 plugs and each one looks perfect. I recently went back to 10/30 castrol high mileage oil from same weight Casril edge synthetic because I was using 1 quart per thousand miles. Use half that with normal oil. Has been extremely cold here. I'm thinking egr is clogged right now. Leave to shop to figure out. Will post result. Used bros vw gti for jump- l love gti's.
