XC70 won`t shift out of "Park'

Not a tranny problem, it is the shift lock cable and/or springs for the cable. Your car did not come with a shift lock override button, earlier years had one.

If you can get access to the cable, it is on the driver's side of the console, just a nudge will allow it to shift.
