I can't even see how the cat could be damaged by a bad plug. I would suspect a bad fuel injector

-- 850 GLT , turbo in basement, chevy blown engine in garage, Gold plated radio knobs on order, twelve extra tires, plugs one turn loose, incorrectly torqued lug nuts, camping equipment in truck, different air pressure in every tire.
