The hum would occur when the vehicle was started cold then go away after it ran for a few minutes. Rickenbaugh first replaced the power steering pump to no avail, then the timing belt mechanism, then the oil pump, then they found low oil pressure and replaced a rod of some sort. The hum has now disappeared.

Would the vehicle loose any oil when the oil pump was replaced?
