Could be the result of the previous owners using polyurethane bushings for the transmission and engine mounts and or a possible ECU reflash from Polestar.

Are you 100% sure the TCV valve on the V50 is fine? It could be that the V50 is not getting as much boost due to a failing control valve. Maybe try a few 0-60 tests to see if the both cars perform as expected.

My 07 2.5T is sometimes sensitive and 'can' be annoying in traffic.
